The way to Laptop EC reading and writing online-exaple Lenovo Y400_LA8691P

The mainboard of the laptop: Lenovo Y400, board number LA8691PU EC model IT8580. Other models such as IT8586E, IT8586G, IT8585E, IT8587E and TQFP128 and BGA serial EC, the method of reading and writing online are same.

Important notes:

1. Please don't forget to connect GND, and the GND can’t be too slim.

2. The wiring must be cut and inserted strictly according to the requirements, and the cutting and connecting method can also be seen in the high-definition wiring diagram following figure, please pay attention;

3. For IT8586/IT8587 chips, if it can't get into ISP mode, just fly the 100th foot to the GND (the 100th foot must be low level);

4. Please do not plug in when you select the model and set the line order. When you set completely, click ”read” or ”write”, then plug in.

5. When some boards can not be connected, the power can be cut off and re-plugged. This kind of chip can capture the signal of ISP Enter the process of powering on.

A. Backup method profile:"select model and line order" - > "read" - > "save"

Step one: connect the device as shown, leave the mainboard unplugged, open the software to the main interface, input or manually select the model"IT8XXX_ISP @ PEB-1", and then click the "set":

Step two: manually select the mode corresponding to the mainboard, then click the “OK”( if there’s no the target model, please add the line order definition by yourself. After the test is successful, please upload the file "D:\ RT809F\ ITE.INI" to here to share.)

If there appear” please use 24-pin wiring, and make it align to the 30-feet of of keyboard connector” for some boards, please check whether the line is connected well.

Step three: click ”read”, and then plug in the mainbord:

If there is a pop-up prompting box as the following figure, please reboot the mainbord after power off, and then click “OK”.

Some boards will appear “wait for the chip to enter the ISP state, please wait.....” over and over again, at this time you need to power off and re-plug to enter the ISP state.

After reading completed, it automatically pop up a saving box, please add the model board number and other details, then save.

B. Write method profile: “select Type and Line order-> "drag in or Open File"-> "write"

If it had read before and the motherboard has not been powered off, you can open the file to write directly. If it not read and you can write directly, but you have to select the type and line order as described above.
