Hello friends!
I followed the tutorial and managed to read an IT8987E on an Acer DA0ZRTMB6D0 motherboard, but when I tried to erase and write a new firmware, it simply doesn't write. At first, I can check and confirm that it's blank. When I try to write a new firmware, I get an error at address 0x1E000, but when I remove the power from the board and turn it back on, the firmware is intact. Whether I just erase or try to rewrite, nothing changes.
I used the most recent version on that date 20241125 and selected IT8XXX(SMBUS)#ISP
I should also note that I had to turn off diode D3 that powers the battery's PWM, as it was interfering with the connection.
On the SMBUS port of the RT809H ISP board, two 8.2K resistors were placed as pull-up. Previously, 2.2K resistors were used, but they proved to be more unstable in this case.
Has anyone managed to record the ITE through the battery port?
